SOB 1000 Converter [SOB1000]  $14.50 - $16.00  by Rich Serbin Date Added: Thursday 26 June, 2008 Bought SOB 1000, soldered wires as instructed on previous page, applied 9V to SOB with CREE XR-E installed and SMOKED SOB!! I assumed that Vin means "+" from 9V batt, and Gnd means "-" from batt. If that is the case then I correctly connected the SOB. I have been soldering and working with electronics for 40 years.
