The YC Rebel strip is a flat 6" x 0.75 x.0079 (0.2mm) thick rectangular FR-4 board which holds up to 6 Luxeon Rebel LEDs. For more info on Rebel LED
The bottomside copper plane is connected to the thermal pad of all the LEDs via vias populated in the thermal pad of the Luxeon Rebel footprint.
The board is easy to cut with cheap scissors (do not use your mothers good sewing scissors). Individual footprints can be cut out in any shape desired and can then be glued to any heatsink, flashlight, lamp assembly as needed. |
