This is a great lens for scratch resistance, however, I found out the hard way that you should know the following information for installation.
1. The sticky plastic on the lens denotes the AR coated side. Only one side is coated.
2. The coated side goes toward the light source.
3. Handle the lens as little as possible , even when in the packing paper the lens coating can be easily damaged.
4. Do not attempt to clean the coated side of the lens with anything but a light dusting of canned air. If you see smudges on the coated side, the coating is damaged. Attempting to clean the coated side with friction will ruin it.
